Soft Grunge is a fashion-focused collection developed for a MONKI live brief, exploring the contrast between 90's grunge aesthetics and softer, more romantic elements. Inspired by grunge and Y2K style, the collection reimagines these influences through delicate floral motifs and layered pattern.
Checks and denim-inspired textures are combined with hand-rendered florals, creating a softer, more expressive take on grunge that aligns with MONKI’s playful approach to fashion.
The collection was developed through experimental processes including inks, watercolours, sandblasting, UV printing, devoré, and cyanotype, resulting in a tactile and varied visual language across garments and accessories.
