Regency Romance is an interiors and homewares collection developed for a Laura Ashley live brief, inspired by archival designs. During my visit to the archive, I was particularly drawn to small-scale florals and decorative repeats influenced by the Georgian and Regency periods. These timeless styles reflect Laura Ashley’s identity and its long-standing connection to romantic, heritage-inspired interiors.
The collection draws on neoclassical interiors and reinterprets them in a more playful and expressive way. Traditional elements, including stripes, florals, medallions, and trompe-l’œil panel designs, are used throughout to evoke the illusion of drapery and the intricate detailing found in historic interiors.
